DIY Magic Topping

Funny enough, I finally decided to try this recipe when I received an email notification that pinterest had to ban one of my pins for homemade magic shell.  So glad it got banned and I finally remembered to try the recipe! This has to be the easiest recipe ever!  You melt chocolate chips with a little coconut […]

Easy Italian Beef

I visited my parents last week and mom made italian beef.  It was so good!!  And super easy to make too. You put pepperoncini, a brown gravy packet, an italian seasoning packet and a large roast in a crockpot and cook 6-8 hours on low.  The beef is ready when it begins to fall apart […]

Healthy Chocolate Chip Cookies

I saw this recipe in my recent addition of Cooking Light and dog-eared the page.  Healthy(er) cookies?  I am up for that. First bite in I wasn’t so sure about these cookies.  They weren’t bad by any means…but I didn’t want my cookie to taste too wheaty (if you know what I mean).  The second batch we cooked […]

Table for Two: Creme Brulee

I always see creme brulee served at fancy restaurants and have never really been that tempted to try it.  A friend made it for us recently, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. This recipe is incredibly simple.  Stir, bake and eat.  You could have it in the oven in 5 minutes. […]

Chocolate Sheet Cake–Sized Down

I thought chocolate sheet cake sounded so good, but I didn’t want an entire cake lingering around for days so I decided to reduce the recipe.  This made the perfect amount…about 2 servings each, plus an extra one for me. Chocolate Sheet Cake makes 1 8 inch square cake 1.  Spray a small square baking […]

Layered Eggplant Parmesan serves 2   1/4 cup flour […]

A healthy start to your day…

I heard you could put spinach in a smoothie and you wouldn’t be able to taste it.  Guess what?  I heard right! It was delicious and nutritious.  The only downside was that it turned the smoothie from a beautiful red color to a more neutral brown color, but for all the added benefits I can handle that. Spinach […]

Who doesn’t like chips and salsa??  We sure do. I have been looking for a good recipe for a while.  I found a recipe on pinterest (of course) and decided to try it out on Den’s staff this week.  There was none left at the end of the night…I think that means it was […]
