The girls in our small group got together one Friday night for a cleaning party. We made our own cleaners and body scrubs! It was a lot of fun!
I learned how to make an all-purpose cleaner…and I was surprised by how easy it was to mix-up. I was also surprised how well it worked on our sinks and stove. It made everything shiny. Some of the girls said their husbands get tired of the vinegar smell on cleaning day, but I didn’t think it was too bad. However, I added several drops of lemongrass essential oil…so maybe that helped!
This was an easy and cheap alternative! Not sure if it has enough scrubbing power for our shower, but it worked great on all the other surfaces in the bathroom and kitchen.
All-Purpose Cleaner
1 cup vinegar
2 cups water
1 large squirt of dish soap (like dawn)
10 – 20 drops of tea tree oil
5-10 drops of any other essential oil (for smell, optional)
Mix everything together and pour into a spray bottle.

This looks like a great way to save some money on cleaning suppliies! I don’t have any tea tree oil–would it still work if I left that out?
I just realized the recipe is from Amy @ABlossomingLife and not a girl in my small group, so you might double check with her, but I think tea tree oil is for disinfecting.
